Following on from my hormone friendly recipes, here’s another favourite of mine, so filing, I have it for breakfast, or a midday snack, not only its hormone friendly, but also highly alkalising for your system. The pectin in the apples is so soothing for your gut, the cucumber provides you with all the minerals & electrolytes you need for the day, specially after a workout or a heavy sweat, the chia seed is a great source of fibre for those sluggish bowels, celery is another favourite of mine for hormone balancing with its phyto-eostrogenic compounds.
Ingredients:
- 1 celery stalk
- 1⁄2 cucumber
- 2 apples (cored)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Juice of one lemon
- 400-500ml filtered water
Chop ingredients and place in blender with lemon juice, chia seeds and water. Blend and enjoy!
