My name is Maha Blakeway, I’m a Naturopathic Nutritionist and Functional Medicine Practitioner, very passionate about my studies and work, I have a BA degree in English Literature, a Naturopathic Nutrition Diploma, I’ve also studied Biomedicine at CNM London, Functional Medicine, Endobiogeny, Nutrition & Nutrigenomics, Herbs for everyday living and Skin Nutrition. I’m a Member of the Complimentary Medical Association (CMA) The Nutrition Society (NA), The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) a Senior Associate Member of The Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) UK.
I specialise in women’s health, Gut health & auto immune diseases, employing the support of nutrition, natural pain management, lifestyle changes and supplements.
I’m Egyptian/British, practicing mainly in the UK, but can consult with clients online any where in the world except ‘USA & Canada’.
Having said all of the above, I hope you find this Blog useful in so many issues other than just nutrition, I wake up every morning, start studying, researching, as this field is constantly evolving, I top up my CPD, ‘Continued personal development’.
Firm believer of ‘give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, teach him how to fish, you feed him for life’ I’m all about teaching, which is one of the Naturopathic core principles, so my main philosophy is for one to get the nutrients he/she needs for good health, through diet/food as a number one source, hence why I have a recipe blog, all my recipes are nutrient dense, and will help you achieve a long term healthy lifestyle, rather than short term, weight loss management. Its what I personally cook and feed my family through my study of Nutrition. Some people will need to supplement, if their life style doesn’t allow them to cook/eat well, even then; you have to ensure taking the right form of supplements, that are non synthetic, preferably organic food based and excipient free.
