Balancing your electrolytes is crucial for your heart health, if you consume a diet high in sodium and low in potassium, then you’re setting yourself for metabolic disorders, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and even Cardiovascular diseases.
There has to be a balance though, too much potassium is not good either, its all about balance, and thats why when I have my Avocado, I sprinkle a tiny amount of sea salt on it, since I’m very careful with my sodium intake! no processed meats or preserved foods for me, which is heavy on nitrates ‘nasty stuff’.
An avocado contains these vitamins and minerals:
Vitamins B1,B2,B3,B5,B6,&B9,Vitamins C,E, & K, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus & Zinc minerals.
An avocado contains more potassium than a banana, it has 14% and a banana contains 10% potassium.
An Avocado has the ‘good’fats you need for healthy joints.
There you have it, its a powerhouse of nutrients, and that’s why I love it.
