Vitamin D.

I often get asked to recommend a good brand of vitamin D supplement, well my answer usually is the one above in my featured image, not only its free, its also the best source, if you get it by the sea, you’re combining Magnesium and Iodine with it. Great for bone health and Thyroid support. Lucky for us Vitamin D, is a fat soluble Vitamin, so it gets stored in our liver for the harsh winter months, whenever checking your D levels, ask your lab for the stored Vitamin D number not just the free floating, if you’re anything above 25 stored, you’re ok.

Dr Mark Hyman explains ” Vitamin D has a huge impact on the health and function of your cells. It reduces cellular growth (which promotes cancer) and improves cell differentiation (which puts cells into an anti-cancer state). That makes vitamin D one of the most potent cancer inhibitors — and explains why vitamin D deficiency has been linked to colon, prostate, breast, and ovarian cancer.”

As soon as the sun comes out, get out and enjoy it, add some coconut oil for a natural spf 5 protection, all you need is 20 minutes or so, depending on your skin colour,no need to over do it,  & don’t worry to much as your body will tell you when you’ve had enough, once you start feeling irritable or too sweaty, that’s your body saying ‘thank you I’ve had enough of Vitamin D for now’ try to make sure you expose as much as you can of your skin to get the maximum benefit.
